Pre & Post Obon Volunteering

The week leading up to Obon and after Obon is just as critical to the festival’s success as the weekend itself. Any and all availability to help is welcomed, please sign up where you can below!
If you don’t “officially” sign up, but find yourself with free time just stop by the Temple to lend a hand. The pre-event and post-event schedules are included for reference.

Tuesday, July 14
– Manju Prep (1 – 4pm) – Sangha Hall
– Wooden Booth Set Up (6 – 8pm) – Parking Lot
Wednesday, July 15
– Manju Making & Packaging (9am – 4pm) – Sangha Hall
– Chicken Cleaning (6 – 9pm) – Sangha Hall
– Tent/Booth Set Up (6 – 8pm) – Temple Grounds
– Flower Booth Set Up (6:30 – 8:30pm) – Outside the Hondo
Friday, July 17
– Beef Skewering (6 – 8 pm) – Sangha Hall Kitchen
– General Set Up (6 – 8pm) – Temple Grounds
– Dining Hall Set Up (following skewering) – Sangha Hall
Saturday, July 18
– Corn Shucking (10am – 12pm) – Front Lawn
